A dwarf variety of the Sword Snake Plant Sansevieria ehrenbergii (now Dracaena hanningtonii) Sanseveria ehrenbergii ‘Samurai’ has broad, stacked leaves of forest green leaves which are curved with a pointed ends and bordered by white and orange margins.  As a species Sanseveria is indigenous to various East African nations, although this dwarf variety is believed to originate from Somalia.  It was named after Christian Gottfried Ehrenberg, who collected it on an expedition sponsored by the Prussian Academy of Sciences to Northern Africa in the 1820s of which he was the only survivor.

  • Positioning

Position your Sanservieria ehrenbergii 'Samurai' in a spot with very good light but ensure that the midday sun is not shining directly onto its leaves as this will result in leaf scorch and a discolouration of the plant.

  • Watering

Water your Sanservieria ehrenbergii 'Samurai' when the growing medium has completely dried out.  It will tolerate being left dry for sometime but consistent watering will result in faster growth.

  • Plant Habits

Your Sanservieria ehrenbergii 'Samurai' is a very slow growing plant but can, depending on its position & watering regime, reach a height of 25cm in the home.

  • Pot Size

Your Sanservieria ehrenbergii 'Samurai' will be provided in a 8cm pot and will come with its own comprehensive easy-to-follow care guide.
