Peperomia angulata 'Rocca Scuro' AKA Beetle or Radiator Plant

Peperomia angulata 'Rocca Scuro' is a hybrid of the classic, long popular, Peperomia Angulata which origates from the rainforests of North & Central America.  In this hybrid the extra appeal comes from the dark emerald of the leaves which are roundish in shape.  Scuro means dark.  These are further complemented by the deep red stalks & the vivid green of its young leaves.   Perfect plant to grow as a hanging plant or to leave trail from a shelf as it has very fine roots so will not require re-potting regularly. 

Peperomia angulata 'Rocca Scuro' is able to adapt to a range of light conditions within the home from a position with good but no direct light to one where it gets direct light in the early morning or late evening.  Too much exposure to harsh direct light will result in a yellowing of the leaves. 

Peperomia angulata 'Rocca Scuro' wild relatives are epiphytes and therefore tolerant to drying out.  Mimic these conditions by leaving your plant until the medium has completely dried out before watering.  Then remove the plant from its cover pot and completely drench the medium ensuring that the whole root ball is watered.  Leave for the excess to drain before replacing it.  You can use this as an opportunity to clean the plant's leaves. 

Peperomia angulata 'Rocca Scuro' is happy as a trailing plant in the home.  They have very fine roots and prefer to be root bound so can be left in position without requiring repot for a considerable time.  This also means that to maintain your plant's health you must remember to feed the plant when in growth to replace micro-nutrients.
