Peperomia obtusifolia 'Obtipan' AKA Baby Rubber Plant
These plants have been popular since they were first brought back by plant hunters in the 1800s. Partly because of their resilence in the home. They like to dry out between waterings and can tolerate a spot where they get little or no direct light. This cultvar is stunning with very tight rosettes of shiny succulent emerald green leaves with red margins. When happy it will flower producing lime green inflorescences which contrast beautifully with the dark green foliage.
Positioning
Would like a spot with good but mostly indirect light and can tolerate it where the light is good but it gets no direct light at all.
Watering
Is drought tolerate and likes its medium to dry out completely between waterings.
Growth Habits
This plant is relatively slow growing with very fine roots so will remain fairly compact making it an excellent table top plant.
