Hoya Rosita easy care trailing or climbing flowering indoor plant with rose tint.

We love Hoyas because they are so easy to keep, flower and can be either left to trail, mounted or supported to climb.  This one is a particular favourite.  It is a cultvar created by crossing Hoya Wayetti and Hoya sp. aff. Burtoniae.  From the former it gets its longer formed leaves with their black margin but these are a little rounder than Wayetti.  The other characteristics that it takes from the Burtoniae is a reddish tint to the stems and a tendency for the leaves to respond to good light conditions by become deep burgandy or rose in colour.  When it flowers these are red with a pink outer edge similar to those of Hoya Dark Red.

This plant is supplied in a 10cm recylable pot and will come with its own comprehensive easy to follow care guide based on our experience of looking after this plant in our UK home.

  • Positioning

Your Hoya Rosita will like good, but mostly indirect, light.  Though this is one of those Hoyas which if you give them a little more light than they would ideally like the effect is quite attractive with this 'sun blushing' making for a deepening of the rose hint of the leaves.

  • Watering

Like all Hoyas your Hoya Rosita is drought tolerant so only water when the soil medium is completely dried out and the leaves look a little dull and feel thin.  Then totally drench the plant and its medium.  Let all the excess drain away before replacing it in its cover pot.

  • Growth Habits

Hoya Rosita is happy to be left to grow as a trailer and makes for an attractive one as the leaves grow close to each other on the stem.

  • Pot Size

Your Hoya Rosita will be supplied in a 10.5 cm pot along with comprehensive easy to follow care instructions.
