Dracena fragrans 'White Jewel'

Dracena fragrans 'White Jewel'

£6.50Price

The corn plant (Dracaena fragrans) is a tropical African evergreen tree which has been popular in Europe as an indoor plant since the mid-1800s. This variety has very strongly contrasting bands of dark green and white which stand out even in the dimmest corners of your house.  Dracaena’s make such a good addition to your collection because they have dramatic appeal being tall and narrow, so can rise above other plants they are grouped with.  Their value is enhanced for their tolerance of a wide range of indoor conditions from bright indirect light, which brings out more variegation in light varieties, to deep shade where the greens, such as those in this variety will become darker creating a stronger contrast with the white stripes.

This plant will be supplied in a 9 cm pot along with a comprehensive easy to follow care guide.

  • Positioning

Can be grown in bright but mostly indirect light through to a position with no direct light at all.

  • Watering

Allow the medium to almost completely dry out between watering.  Yellow leaves indicate you are leaving it too long & brown tips to the leaves that you are watering too often.

  • Growth Habits

Over time as your plant grows it will lose leaves leaving a bare stem with foilage at the top which creates a 'palm tree' look.  They can grow to a metre tall in the house.

  • Pot Size

This plant is supplied in a 10cm pot
