Crassula 'Buddha's Temple' AKA Jacob' Beard geometric slow growing succulent

£8.50Price

You will love this stunning geometric and architectural plant which is perfect for a sunny windowsill but put it where your visitors can see it because although it might be modest in size this plant commands attention.  It is the creation of botanist MyronKimnach in 1959 through the cross-pollination of Crassula pyramidalisand C. perfoliata var falcata. In summer it blooms with brightred buds, opening to reveal clusters of pink to near-white small flowers at thetip, adding a burst of colour to its already captivating appearance. Do not be worried when it grows sideways, as it matures it will produce side shoots which become replicas slowly forming as a rosette of interlocking shoots. It thrives in good light but avoid the midday sun as this will scorch the leaves turning them yellow. Root rot is a common issue with succulents, and this one is more susceptible than most. When you need to re-pot do so in well-draining cactus/succulent soil in a pot with a drainage hole and water only when the soil has completely dried out. The light, white, powdery surface helps to preserve moisture and protect from strong sunlight. This is easily removed by touching or with drops of water. Under water and avoid touching the plant to preserve this
